Swimming Gala

On Tuesday, February 25th, South Charnwood’s swimming team participated in the annual schools' swimming gala held at Pingles Leisure Centre. 

We took 19 students to compete across three age categories.

They all did a fantastic job representing South Charnwood High School. Although our KS3 team didn’t secure a top-three placement, it was another remarkable victory for our KS4 team, who have now won for four consecutive years.

With two of our KS4 swimmers leaving last year, Ewan (Year 9) and Joe (Year 8) were called upon to complete the squad - a huge achievement competing against an older age group. What a talented squad we have!

We now look forward to competing in the KS4 County Swimming Finals, which will take place on April 1st.

Well Done to all swimmers involved, you did South Charnwood proud.
